This policy explains how All Speeches Great and Small (“we”, “us”, Adrian Simpson) collects and uses your personal information when you contact us or use our speech-writing service. We are the data controller for the information you provide.

What we collect
- When you enquire or order: your name, email, phone (if given), the type of speech, the date of your occasion, and the details of your message.
- The material for your speech: the stories, names, memories and information you choose to share so we can write your speech, which may include details about third parties (e.g. the bride, groom or the person being remembered).
- Reviews: if you leave a review, this is handled by our reviews provider, reviews.io.
- Website usage: if you consent, advertising-measurement data via Google Ads (see Cookies below).
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the service, performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- To take payment and keep business records, legal obligation and contract.
- To send your draft(s) and revisions, contract.
- To display reviews and improve the service, consent / legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use the personal stories you share for anything other than writing your speech.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: our website host and contact-form provider (Netlify), reviews.io, our email provider, our payment provider (Stripe, who handle card details so we don’t store them), and — only if you consent to marketing cookies — Google (advertising measurement). We only share what’s necessary and never pass your details to third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry and project data: for the project and up to 12 months afterwards.
- Financial records: as required by UK law (currently 6 years).
- We delete the material for your speech on request once your project is complete.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, please contact us. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies needed for the site to work, including one that remembers your cookie choice. These do not require consent.
With your consent we also set marketing cookies via Google Ads, which help us measure the performance of our advertising. These are not set unless you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you reject, or ignore the banner, no marketing cookies are placed.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. The reviews.io review widget may also set its own cookies.
